Pilatus PC-6 – ALAT

>> Flightline | Pilatus PC-6 – ALAT

An all-terrain aircraft

The Pilatus PC-6 Porter is a light utility transport aircraft, designed in Switzerland, famous for its short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities. Capable of operating over rough terrain, it is particularly well suited to missions in difficult environments. The ALAT (Aviation Légère de l’Armée de Terre) uses it mainly for logistics, liaison and parachute missions.

A versatile tool for the armed forces

Solid, rugged and reliable, the PC-6 can carry up to 10 passengers, including 8 parachutists, and operate from unprepared runways. It is easily recognisable by its long fuselage, high wing and fixed landing gear. Its PT6A-27 turboprop engine gives it excellent manoeuvrability, even under full load.
