A very special Hurricane at AIR LEGEND!

Operation ‘Dynamo’, i.e. the evacuation of the soldiers encircled in the Dunkirk pocket, took place under air cover by the RAF fighters.

This one had only 8 hours of flight time when it was shot down whilst patrolling over the beaches.
Its pilot, Kenneth Mc Glasham, was wounded but made it after a forced landing near the shoreline.
The aircraft disappeared in the sand, and reappeared in 1989.
A long restoration succeeded in getting it back in the sky again, in 2017!
