This Gendarmerie Nationale helicopter will be demonstrating canine winching.

Training sessions are regularly organised to get the dogs used to the noise and environment of helicopters.
For several years now, the Gendarmerie has been launching a recruitment campaign aimed at dogs aged between 10 and 24 months. To find dogs to join the Police Dog Service, the Gendarmerie Nationale is looking to professionals and private individuals.
These dogs could be entrusted with missions to search for missing persons, drugs, weapons, explosives and to act as a deterrent. And they will sometimes be taken on board our helicopters.
